what a great night last night was !!!! the SCORPIONS rocked the Beacon !!! after 20 yrs they still sound great if not better. we had a blast getting into the city by driving in. man did i miss driving in NYC, the cabbies are so much fun to mess with. you just got to play the game like they do and all will be A OK.
we got to the Beacon area about 19:30 and started looking for a parking lot, but all were full. so in our attempt to find another garage, we went east on 76th and found a spot on the street, and a legal one at that. night is off to a great start.
we get into the beacon and head to the bar looking for a beer, but alas only Bud on tap. so we opt for 2 Jack & Cokes. We walked a few steps into the hall and find another bar has Becks! so we down the Jack & Cokes like they are water and get 2 Becks. Cant watch the Scorps with out a good German beer!
About 45 minutes later the band come on, and for 2 and 1/2 hours they whole place is on its feet singing along to every song as if it was 20 years ago.
We capped the night off at the Rodeo Bar on Third at 29th Street with some BBQ and steak.
got in at about 2AM and slept until 11:00.
got to do this more often.
